When I open a new mail message the window size is always full screen (side to
side, not necessarily top to bottom). I can change the size of the new mail
message, close it and reopen with out closing outlook and it comes back the
size to which it had been set. If I close and reopen outlook the window size
of the new mail message is back to full screen again. How do I fix this?

I was researching for a colleague and saw this problem reported a number of times online...tried everything suggested, including ctr-double click on the right corner X, as well as ctr-double click on the left corner and right click on left corner, hit restore... I'm not sure why this worked or why it occurred to me try it, but turning off the Microsoft Office Word Editor is what did it.
